Generating Articles
This section contains tips and tricks for creating AI-generated articles as well as using AI to optimize the product summaries that feed into the articles. Please check out the video and content below for more helpful information!
If this is your first time using the RevenueEngine Extension and you have not read the Overview Article, you may want to start there! You will need to know how to get your RevenueEngine ID before you can follow along with the content on this page. You may also want to learn how to Create Links & Summaries before reading this page.
- Product Summaries
- You can edit the AI-generated product summary in the left hand side of the dashboard UI by expanding a specific product summary and clicking the Edit button on that tile. This will open a prompt at the bottom of that section to enter additional AI prompts
- If you need to edit a product summary, be prescriptive about what you'd like it to do next. If the initial summary was too long, use a prompt like this Write the product summary but limit it to 500 characters for use in a shorter article.
- Standard Article
- You can generate standard articles on the right hand side of the dashboard. In order to generate an article, at least one product summary must be selected by checking off the checkbox to the right of that product summary tile. Note: the Extension is currently limited in how many summaries it can use to generate an article. If you try to use more than approximately 10, it may fail. This is the default article type that is generated when visting the RevenueEngine Extension's dashboard page.
- Product Comparison Article
- If you have a bunch of similar products and want to generate an article that compares or ranks them, you can do this by selecting the Product Comparison article radio button at the top of the Article Creator section of the dashboard. This radio button is on the left of the standard Article generation
- Themes
- To add theme and/or tone to an AI generated article, utilize the text box at the top of the right hand column of the dashboard. This will allow you to apply theme and/or tone to not just the article's headline and intro, but will update the language in the product summaries as well. If you are writing an article for Black Friday shopping and the products are all laptops, you can simply include the phrase "Black Friday" in the text box.
- AI Creative Freedom Slider
- This defaults to a fairly conservative setting in order to prevent the article generation from making things up that don't relate or make sense with regards to the products in the article. Moving this slider to the right will generate more unexpected responses while moving it to the left will make it more conservative.
- Generate Image Checkbox
- Checking this box will include a cover / hero image for your article. RevenueEngine takes the products you selected for the article/product comparison and uses them to request an AI-generated image of the products. The prompt is built in a way that avoids copyrights and branding, so these are perfect to use without worrying about being able to legally use the image!
