Understanding Our Data Collection and Use
We at Wildfire strive to ensure that your user's personal data is handled with the utmost care and security. We understand the importance of privacy and are committed to protecting your information at all times. In this article, we will explain the types of data we store and how we use it.
The only identifier we have for your user is the identifier passed to us during authentication and this is utilized in order to match commissions to the correct user. This value is anonymous and cannot be used by Wildfire to identify the individual.
We also have the transaction data that the merchant reports. We send a separate value to the merchants that we can map back to the identifier in our system. This is how we are able to know which commission belongs to which user. At no point is the external identifier sent to the merchant.
For our partners that use our extension we also receive analytic events, which include data like what offers a user sees and which they activate as well as details on which coupons were used and how much the coupons saved. All of this data is anonymous and we do not store any personal identifying information nor do we store client IP addresses.
We use the information collected in a few ways. One is to authenticate the user and their account for any current or future account needs or management. The second is for payment purposes. If we are paying your users directly we will use this value to process payments.
The data obtained through analytics is analyzed and used to enhance the quality of our software with the goal of providing a better experience to the end user.
We do not sell any of our data.
In summary, we store minimal data to ensure that we can authenticate users, manage accounts, and pay out cashback. We do not sell any data and take great care to ensure that your information is protected at all times. If you have any concerns or questions about your data, please do not hesitate to contact us.
